Future Opportunities

There are a wide variety of ways that you can get involved with international opportunities while on campus during your final years at Columbia or after college.

On campus

Share your experience abroad while working in the Office of Global Programs. As a Peer Advisor you talk with other students about your study abroad experience and help guide them in getting all the information they need to go abroad. Please contact Sara Ede at if you are interested in finding out more about the position or applying.

If you have work study, consider working in the OGPF.   This is a great opportunity to share your experience and expertise with future study abroad students.

The VESN is a network of CC and SEAS students selected to serve as resources for Visiting and Exchange Students to facilitate social, cultural, and intellectual exchange. It seeks to help students make the most of their time at Columbia and in New York.

Several student groups focus on specific cultural interests or volunteerism abroad.

Future Opportunities

Study abroad students can explore options to continue their international studies by seeking out fellowships that fund overseas degree programs, research projects, English-teaching programs, and other forms of international engagement.
The Center for Career Education can teach you how to market your study abroad experience to future employers, help you find future opportunities to live/work/intern abroad and learn about Columbia funded international work opportunities.  Visit the CCE website for information about office hours and a wide variety of internationally focused events.
