SEAS Students
Ever Feel like you are stuck in Mudd?
You're not. Though many students at the School of Engineering and Applied Science may feel that studying abroad is nearly impossible, it is an option. The Office of Global Programs is dedicated to helping Engineering students enrich their undergraduate experiences through specialized programs in countries throughout the world.
Engineering students may study abroad during their junior year. While students may petition to study at other points in their undergraduate career, studying abroad during the junior year allows students to focus on satisfying major requirements abroad with the approval of their major department. Students are encouraged to work closely with their major adviser in order to find courses abroad that can satisfy major requirements. Students may also take courses abroad towards their non-technical electives. SEAS Global Initiatives, in collaboration with the Office of Global Programs, is currently working to develop a wider network of schools and programs specifically for engineering students.
Students interested in
studying abroad should browse through this Web site to obtain a general idea of
what studying abroad for engineering students entails. Though the process may
be challenging, the rewards are limitless.
