Amman

Amman, the capital of Jordan, is situated in the hills between the desert and the fertile Jordan valley. Ancient biblical sites, Roman ruins, and contemporary structures exist side by side in this modern and cosmopolitan city with a thriving cultural scene. With a diverse population and a reputation for hospitality, Amman provides an ideal base for students to learn Arabic and gain a deeper understanding of the region.

This nine week program helps students strengthen their skills in Modern Standard Arabic and Colloquial Jordanian/Levantine Arabic by offering intensive language training. All skills are emphasized in the classroom and during tutorials. Group excursions in and around Amman, opportunities to volunteer in local communities and volunteer or intern at local organizations, and a week long travel break give students various perspectives of Jordanian society and different venues in which to practice their Arabic.
