Notes:
A classroom-based program in the capital city of Dakar for students interested in West Africa, Francophone studies, African studies or development studies. The program is geared toward students interested in continuing French language study and learning Wolof, the most common African language in the region. Based on the campus of Suffolk University, students take French langugae, Wolof, Contemporary Senegalese Culture and two electives with other CIEE students. Students live in local homestays, get involved in the local community through volunteer opportunities and language partners and can do an independent study with the permission of faculty.
