This program is designed for students with strong Portuguese language skills and an interest in contemporary Brazil. The program offers a supported immersion environment and combination of regular university classes at PUC with Portuguese language courses. While in Brazil, students live with host families and can get involved with the local community through volunteer projects, and through campus groups and activities. The program begins with a four-week Intensive language program held in Salvador da Bahia. Students live in local homestays.
