Located in Israel's cultural, financial and industrial heartland TAU is the largest university in Israel. It is a major center of teaching and research with nine faculties including Arts, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences and Engineering. Students are encouraged to do the Ulpan before the term, and to take regular courses with local students, as well as Hebrew language classes. Students live on campus in dormitories.

Students may not earn Columbia credit for classes taken in English at the Lowry International School.
