Columbia is continually working towards building a network of opportunities around the world designed to provide a broad portfolio of international options to its undergraduates. Reviewed and approved by the Faculty Committee for Study Abroad, Columbia students can choose to study abroad on over 150 programs in over 100 cities for academic credit.
Columbia University Global Programs are administered by the Office of Global Programs and Fellowships in collaboration with the Columbia faculty and academic departments as well as our partner institutions, both domestic and abroad. All students including Columbia/Barnard, consortium member students, and students from other universities can find detailed information about each of the programs by clicking on the program in the menu to the right.

For students who are interested in studying abroad in other locations, there are a large number of approved programs. These programs may be managed by another university's international office (e.g. Middlebury's Programs in Russia), an academic consortium (e.g. Bologna Consortial Studies Program in Itay), or an outside organization in partnership with local institutions (e.g. CIEE at the University of Cape Town).
If you cannot find a program or institution that meets your needs, please contact the Office of Global Programs to explore other options.
